Jeff Turner is in his third year on the sidelines with the University of Detroit Mercy men’s lacrosse team

Turner works primarily with the Titan defense as well as scouting and recruiting. During his time, he has also worked with the face-off unit and special teams.

In his first year with the program in 2015, he helped the Titans post their first-ever winning season recording a program-best eight victories on the year. UDM also tied a school mark with four conference wins and helped the team reach the MAAC Championship semifinals for the fifth-straight year.

Prior to coming to the Motor city, Turner spent two seasons as an undergraduate assistant coach at Michigan, helping the Wolverines build their program. At U-M, his responsibilities included assisting with the offense and face-off units, directing the scout team defense, film breakdown, weekly opponent scouts and statistical analysis.

He is also a part of the GBL Lacrosse Club, a summer lacrosse program that is geared towards developing advanced players around the Ann Arbor area. For GBL, his duties include coordinating practices and tournaments, advising players in the recruiting process, serving as a family liaison, program expansion, and coordinating all private and small group lessons. On field with GBL, he works with the offensive unit and goaltenders.

Born and raised in Southeast Michigan, he played high school lacrosse at Clarkston before graduating from Michigan in 2014 with a degree in sports management.
