Jen Fox Sargent returns for her fourth season as Head Coach of the Women’s Lacrosse program.

In her second season leading RWU, Fox Sargent guided the Women’s Lacrosse team to a 12-5 regular season record while clinching the #2 seed for the CCC Tournament for the third straight year. The Hawks made its way to the CCC Championship for the fifth straight year. Seven Hawks were named to the All-CCC Team with Fox Sargent being named CCC Coach of the Year for the second straight season.

Fox Sargent thrived in her first season at RWU, finishing the year with a 13-4 record while clinching the #2 seed and a first-round bye for the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament. She guided the Hawks to the CCC Championship Game, marking the program’s fourth straight championship game berth. Seven of her players earned All-CCC recognition, including Emily Stoeppel as CCC Defensive Player of the Year and Kaelin Hogan being named CCC Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. Most notably, Fox Sargent was honored as CCC Coach of the Year.

Fox Sargent came to RWU after spending the 2017 season as an assistant coach for fellow Commonwealth Coast Conference program Endicott College, where she helped guide the Gulls to the 2017 CCC Championship. During her time at Endicott, her duties included practice preparation, game strategy, recruiting, fundraising, community service, and alumni engagement.

Fox Sargent has familiarity coaching at all levels of the NCAA, as she served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Saint Francis University, NCAA Division II Merrimack College, and NCAA Division III Randolph-Macon College. In addition, Fox Sargent served as the former head coach of Norwood High School and spent one season as an assistant coach at Simmons College.

Fox Sargent also brings club coaching knowledge to Roger Williams program. She spent four seasons as the head coach of the Laxachusetts Club program, in addition to past stints at PrimeTime Lacrosse and Wellesley Youth Lacrosse.

In addition to her coaching prowess, Fox Sargent worked four years at Boston Scholar Athletes, a non-profit organization committed to supporting academic achievement through athletics.

Fox Sargent earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College in May 2009 in addition to a Master's of Education Leadership from Saint Francis University in May 2013.

At Merrimack, Fox Sargent was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse team where she was a two-time team captain as well as Vice President of Merrimack's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
