Recruit Profile
Being a goalie has allowed me to see the field and the game of lacrosse in a different light; it has allowed me to determine a players next moves.
Lacrosse and sports, in general, have been one of the main focuses my entire life. I have been playing sports for as long as I could remember. For example, I previously played tennis at a competitive level but, lacrosse is the sport that stuck. I started lacrosse in fourth grade at an attack position. After trying and getting a feel for multiple positions, I realized that I am best suited for a goalie position.
Playing goalie has allowed me to become a leader on the field. Being a goalie isn't always about the saves. Personally, a goalie has to have a better understanding of the game and have high lacrosse IQ. Coaches and I, see myself as an active goalie; I like to become part of the game as much as the field players do. This means coming out of the goal with interceptions and poaches and having a well-balanced control over the defense. All of this has allowed me to play on the varsity level as a freshman.
From an academic standpoint, I see myself as a pretty good student. I have maintained grades in the B+ to A range while taking honors and Ap level courses. I believe that thriving academically can open many doors into my future that will allow me to achieve my goals.
For the future I see myself playing lacrosse on a collegiate level, and working as a financial intelligence analyst or an intelligence analyst for the federal government. Being a college athlete will help me gain experience and discipline for the future.
