My name is Jillian Gironda and I am a junior attacker in the 2022 class at Ward Melville high school. I fell in love with lacrosse the first time I picked up a stick in kindergarten. Growing up around lacrosse with my two older brothers both playing I have always had a stick in my hand. In 8th grade I was co-captain of the lacrosse team and brought up to varsity the next year as a freshman. Although I play lacrosse a lot I also have played basketball since 3rd grade and was the co-captain for my schools jv basketball team as a 10th grader. After watching both of my brothers go through the recruitment process for the university of western Connecticut and seeing the impact of culture that the team has on them knew I wanted to play in college and be a part of that.
