Recruit Profile
multi-sport athlete, leadership skills, coachable, aggressive, team player with strong Lax IQ
I started playing lacrosse when I was in middle school outside in my backyard with my older brothers. I realized how much I enjoyed the sport and wanted to play in a team setting. Since then, Ive participated in various training camps, such as the Nike Girls Lacrosse Camps, which have allowed me to gain exposure with different positions, team dynamics and coaching styles. Unfortunately, in my freshman year of high school, the season was cancelled due to COVID-19 before tryouts were even completed. In my sophomore year, I made the varsity team and have started in all the games this year. I've also been playing travel lacrosse for Empire since 2019 and was recently selected as a team captain. Currently I play defense for Empire and Attack for my varsity team. I excel in multiple kinds of defense and have the ability to use both hands as needed. I'm also a multi-sport athlete playing both volleyball and karate. I've been dedicated to karate for 10 years, and recently completed my testing and earned a second-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. I am the most senior student in both age and rank at my karate school. Karate was my first introduction to the world of sports. The strenuous hours-long practices and belt tests have taught me the values of hard work, patience and determination. I'm also involved in extra-curricular activities such as theatre, orchestra, chamber orchestra and jazz choir. I am in Tri-M and the Thespian Honor Society as well as National Junior Honor Society. I remain high ranking in my class, while taking multiple advanced and AP classes. In my free time, I like to read and spend time with my friends and family.
