Joe Funes
Recruit Profile
Extremely coachable-driven, strong lax IQ, quick, good stick, versatile, aggressive and physical
I started playing lacrosse when I was 12, I have always played pole since I've started playing for my club, and I've also been playing a good amount of D-Mid. I've played for many clubs before, I used to free agent to play at as many tournaments as before, ultimately I've stayed playing for UNRL, Classics, and Team Eighteen. I'm a starter for my Varsity high school team, I'm left dominant. I pride myself in my versatility as a player, I'm great at any defensive position and I work hard with my feet. I'm a great defender at the X, and when it comes to groundballs I'm usually flying across the field to pick it up.
My communication on the field is loud and clear, everyone around me knows what I'm doing and when. I have good soft hands, my handle on the ball is great especially in traffic. My dream is to play collegiate lacrosse and I will continue to play hard and earn my spot on a team.
I am currently taking AP Chemistry , Concurrent Gov, and I'm the Editor in Chief of Newspaper. I am very involved in my schools extracurricular activites and am fluent in both English and Spanish. I will be playing club lacrosse this fall for Socal Bulls. I am a school Ambassador, and in the school senate. I'm an active member of the NHS and maintain good grades with a ton of class rigor.
