John Patrick (JP) Housman
Recruit Profile
Johnny-Hustle player. Team leader. 4.7 GPA. Solid person. I'm a Rambo-style player--less flashy, gritty, grind it out, physical, hustle for every ball, every play.
I started playing lacrosse in middle school. I played rec ball and then transitioned to club. For my middle school, I was an attackman, but the coach asked me to play close defense to help the team. I scored a hat trick as a close defenseman in a major upset of a good Landon team. I started club ball with Club Blue under Coach Giblin. Then, I moved over to DC Express. For Express, I played attack on my offhand side--again because the coaches said the team needed that. As a result, I am very balanced lefty-right. I'm a three-year (now going on four) varsity player for Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. Academically, I have a 4.7 GPA even carrying a heavy AP course load. I volunteer coaching under-privileged kids lacrosse. I've also been a student coach for BLC's clinics.

Kyle Mooney
I coached JP for 3 years with DCExpress. He was a solid attackmen and adaptable to play from the left, right, or on the crease. Duinrg the summer 2023 tournaments, JP had some big-time goals and was an instrumental part of the team winning the championship at the VA State Cup. He is also a dependable team player and will unselfishly help his team. When we were short of players, he helped by running at midfield between attack runs. JP listens to instruction from the sideline and is coachable. His actions during practice and off the field display his commitment to improving.
