I wish I had the opportunity to coach Juliana more than summer tournaments. My first experience coaching her was at the USA National Lacrosse tournament as she led our defense to winning our division. Her lax IQ, confidence and composure on the field are unmatched. She plays aggressively and fearlessly, anticipating the moves of the opposing team. She was an invaluable member of the OC Chapter National Team and I look forward to working with her at every opportunity given.

I had the pleasure of coaching Juliana at the USA Women’s Lacrosse National Tournament. Juliana is a natural defender. She is solid in 1v1s, she understands when and where to slide, and she has great spatial awareness in transitions. I was very impressed by Juliana’s ability to receive feedback and immediately implement that feedback into her game. She was able to cause countless turnovers throughout the tournament because of her high defensive IQ and ability to anticipate what the attacker was going to do next. Juliana is coachable, hard working, and a great teammate. She will be an asset to any team.

Juliana is the definition of an athlete. She takes direction and immediately applies it to her game. She asks questions, wants to learn, and continues to work outside of practice. She understands how a defensive unit works and is able to anticipate what the attackers will do next. She has great body positioning and easily dictates the direction she wants her attackers to go. She plays clean, but is still aggressive. She will be a leader on the defensive end and will likely move into the midfield due to her athleticism. With how much extra time Juliana puts into lacrosse (wall ball, private training, fitness and conditioning), there is no doubt that she will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.

Juliana is a quick study to the game. She is fast, strong, coachable, and getting better at the game of lacrosse every day! She is extremely intuitive, athletic, and communicates well. It is hard to believe she has only been playing for less than one year. It is exciting to see where she will be 1, 2, 5 years from now!
