Julianna Callison
Recruit Profile
A coachable, aggressive, determined team player and leader, willing to learn new skills and accept new challenges, with a strong focus on my education.
I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade for my township team as a defender. Then as I fell more in love with the sport, I moved into a midfield position. In 7th grade, I started on the middle schools varsity lacrosse team. I have been playing club lacrosse since before 8th grade, as a midfielder and attacker. In March of 2020, as a freshman, I made my high schools varsity lacrosse team, but due to COVID-19, the season was cancelled just before our first game.
I am a multi-varsity-sport athlete, as I also play varsity field hockey for my high school, and have been a starting center defender since freshman year. I maintain a 4.0 unweighted GPA, while participating in Octagon (a service club), No Place For Hate, French Club, NHS, and I am a Student Rep for the 2023 Student Council. In the off season, I participate in many lacrosse leagues with my high school team, in the fall and winter. While not on the lacrosse field, I build my strength, speed, and agility at a local gym called Over Achieve.

Julianna is one of the most dedicated players I have ever coached. She has the natural skill and ability in Lacrosse and excels on every level. One attack she is a driver who will not be stopped on her way to goal. Jul is able to find cracks in the defense and exploits it to her advantage. She has great cuts and is constantly working to move the ball, get open, and find the back of the net. Her shots are strong and well placed, she also waits to for best opportunity to ensure a goal. In the Midfield she is a great center on the Draw. She has worked hard on her technique and is successful in the lefty pull and righty push. She comes up with multiple draw controls a game. On Defense she fills in the unit with strong 1v1 defense as well as delivering the slide package when necessary. Her speed and athleticism is what makes her a stand out player in every game. Strong skills with no fear of the non dom hand. She 100% has D1 athlete potential and any team would be lucky to have her. Driven, intense, smart, hard working, leader

Because we lost our season last year, this was the first year I really got to see Julianna play and her first year on the Varsity field. She is extremely aggressive, very quick on the field and is eager to go to goal. She possesses a hard shot and is able to score in transition, free position shots and off of plays. This year she scored 39 goals, 9 assists (2nd highest on the team) and had 39 draw controls. Her fundamental stick skills are solid and will only improve. She played midfield for our team and her defense has notably improved by the end of the season. She received All-Division First team honors in our league as a sophomore. Julianna is passionate about lacrosse, wants to always get better and is a very coachable player.
