My name is Kaitlyn Skamas. I am part of the class of 2020 at Ramapo High School. I live in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey with my parents and younger sister.

I play club lacrosse for T3 Elite: North 2020 Black Team, player # 37. I am a primarily a defender for my club team however, I also play midfield for both my club team and my high school teams.

Since beginning my club lacrosse career in June of 2016, I have earned a reputation as a hardworking, versatile and coachable player. I am able to defend, transition and attack. I am well known on the field for my speed and stamina. I have been extremely successful stopping fast breaks, clearing balls and defending penalty shots. I have also earned a reputation for game changing interceptions and ground balls.

In the Spring of 2017, I achieved Varsity status as a Freshman. I initially played Junior Varsity at Ramapo before being elevated to Varsity. While on JV, I scored 45 goals and had 25 assists. During this past spring season, I earned a starting position as a defender on varsity and was the only starting defender as an underclassman. Throughout the season I was given the task of face guarding some of the best attacks in New Jersey, many who had been committed to top 20 D1 programs.

In addition to lacrosse, I also played soccer during my freshman and sophomore year. During the fall seasons, I balance soccer and lacrosse and played a key role on my high school soccer team as a left outside midfielder. I am also a first -degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do with the goal of obtaining my second - degree black belt by the end of my senior year.

Athletics are very important however, academics are equally important to me. Since the start of freshman year, I have maintained at 3.9 GPA and have consistently been on the Honor Roll at Ramapo.

I am interested in the privilege of playing Woman's Lacrosse at the collegiate level, while pursuing a degree in biology with the goal ultimate goal of becoming a dentist.
