Throughout the course of the past nine years, I have had the pleasure and privilege to be a part of Kaleigh Murphy’s development as a lacrosse player. During this time, she has played multiple positions. First starting at midfield, then attack; Kaleigh has (over the last three seasons) developed into a terrific defender. Because of her playing time in other positions, she has developed a strong Lacrosse IQ, which has allowed her to grasp different concepts that are integral towards the success of any high-level player. Her aggressiveness on the field is unmatched, as her grittiness is constantly on display. Her ability to shut down top offensive players, awareness of passing lanes, sliding knowledge and transitional play would make her an asset on any Division I team. I look forward to watching Kaleigh continue to grow at the next level.

Kaleigh’s hard work, dedication, determination and lacrosse IQ puts her in an elite category. Kayleigh is always willing to play and eager to learn. She is always asking questions and trying to find ways to improve her game. She has all the skill and athleticism to compete at the Division 1 level. Her coachability and desire to improve on her game is a joy to see. As a defender she is able to get the ball up the field during a clear and create instant offense. Kaleigh takes charge and brings the team defensive play to another level. Her communication and ability to recognize when and where to slide is remarkable.
