Hard worker, team player, coachable, disciplined, aggressive on the field, good sportsmanship
I tried lacrosse for the first time in the 9th grade and fell in love with the sport. I made varsity after my first season. When our 2nd season was cut short because of the pandemic, I went to work on speed and endurance training. I also focused on stick work and improving my lacrosse IQ. I joined Coast last year and was able to play tournaments in the East Coast with the club. I have since focused on improving my dodging/cutting skills and left-hand mechanics. I enjoyed putting all that hard work together during the spring high school season as we won the CIF D1 Championship.
I am also a strong student. I challenge myself in the classroom by taking AP and honors classes. I currently have a 3.75/3.9 GPA.
Music is a big part of my life. I have been playing classical piano for 10 years and I play/sing in my church worship band. I am also a leader in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes club) at my high school as well as a leader for my church youth program.

Katherine Simmons
Karina has had extremely impressive growth on her offense, and uses her speed to her advantage on defense. Always asking questions, she is extremely coachable and it is easy to see her growth on every rep. She is a hustle player and a joy to have on our team.
Rebecca Kingsbury
Karina is a fast, uptempo attacking midfielder. She started a bit later than some of our other athletes, but has learned quickly and shown huge improvements! She is eager to intake information and grow as a player, which makes her very coachable.
