I started playing lacrosse at age 9. Lacrosse was a new sport in Southern MD where I live. I had awesome coaches when I was young that made playing the sport fun and exciting. My parents quickly grew to love the game as well and have been my top supporters over the years.
Our local rec club is called CCLC, I played U10 when I started, played U12 the second year and then U14 all the way through 8th grade. I joined MD Revolution when I was 11 and have been playing with older players ever since. It is a small club so the teams always have combined age groups. Some say its better to play with your age, but I like the challenge of playing with and against older girls.
I finished middle school with all A's and math/PE are my favorite subjects. I enjoy running and plan to run cross country and indoor track in high school along with lacrosse. At my 7th grade county track meet I won the high jump and set a new record for the 800. This helped my school place first among the 15 schools.
I also participated in my first tri-athalon last summer and placed first for my age group. I was hoping to participate in all of these things again this year, but COVID-19 did not allow that.
I plan to participate in Student Government, Key Club and Drama Club in high school as well as work to be a member of National Honor Society.
