Karrie Moore

Profile
Karrie Moore was hired in August of 2015 as the 11th head women's lacrosse coach in the program's illustrious history.

The Bombers identified Moore, who served as an assistant coach with Cornell University for the last seven seasons, as the best coaching candidate. Moore will begin her third year at the helm of the Ithaca women's lacrosse program in 2017-18.

Moore took the IC women's program into uncharted territory in 2017, guiding the Bombers to their first ever appearance in the Round of 16 in the NCAA Division III Tournament. Ithaca posted a 14-5 record during the year, which included a first-place finish in the Empire 8 Conference during the regular season. The Bombers defeated four ranked teams during the year, which included a win over then-No. 2 Trinity (Conn.) that set new program bests.

Moore guided eight student-athletes to Empire 8 All-Conference recognition, headlined by Ally Runyon and Kimberly Presuto who were named Empire 8 Player and Goalie of the Year, respectively. Five Bombers went on to earn IWLCA All-Region accolades, while Runyon and Long earned All-America honors.

In her first season at the head of the Ithaca program, Moore posted a 14-6 record, which included the team's first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament since 2011. She guided the Bombers to a dominant 24-2 victory over Regis in the Opening Round of the NCAA Tournament, marking just the second NCAA Tournament win in program history.

Under her guidance, six IC players earned Empire 8 All-Conference accolades at the conclusion of the year, headlined by Kimberly Presuto and Allie Panara who earned Goalie and Rookie of the Year, respectively. Additionally, four Bombers went on to earn IWLCA All-Region recognition.

Moore, a 2006 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, was a standout goalkeeper during her playing days at Penn. While at Cornell, she focused primarily on the defense and goalies during an assistant coaching tenure that saw the Big Red post a 57-52 record while qualifying for the Ivy League tournament in each of her final four seasons with the program.

"Karrie Moore is the best possible choice as the next leader for the Ithaca College women's lacrosse program. I am thrilled to welcome Karrie to the IC community and our athletics family," said Susan Bassett '79, Ithaca's Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports.
