Kate Lee-Gilligan
Recruit Profile
Multi-sport athlete, team player, who has had to overcome challenges.
I am a Junior, currently playing for MN True 2022AA team. I play midfield and sometimes play Draw. My coach is Heather Pierson. I played for the MN Lakers Club in 2019. I started playing Lacrosse as an eighth grader and as a Freshman I made the Benilde-St. Margaret's High School JV Girls' Lacrosse team and led the team in scoring. I won the Attacker of the Year Award although I primarily played Draw and midfielder. Due to the pandemic, I did not play on my high school team as a Sophomore. Ana Bowlsby is the high school varsity coach.
I have enjoyed playing other team sports. I played ice hockey since I was in second grade through my Sophomore year, winning the Coach's MVP Award in 2020 for my high school JV team. I also played soccer for many years and was on the JV girls soccer team my Freshman year.
I had a serious concussion Freshman year which severely impacted my attendance and my grades. I've continued to improve each semester, getting back on track with my health and my grades. This year, I am taking several honors and AP classes. My cumulative, unweighted GPA is 3.479.
My goal is to attend a small liberal arts college outside of the Midwest and study natural sciences perhaps pre-med. I took the ACT on September 19, 2020. My scores were English 35, Math 31, Reading 36, Science 27 with a Composite score of 32. I plan to retake the ACT in December 2020.
