Growing up with two older brothers, I always had interest in their activities which is why I began playing lacrosse in Kindergarten with a team of 3rd graders. I was determined to learn the sport and compete with the older players and I began to fall in love with it. After moving overseas to Singapore for 3 years where lacrosse was not yet a developed sport for girls, I returned to Rhode Island in 2016 (5th grade) and picked up the sport I had been craving for the past 3 years while I was away. However, in 2017, 6th grade year, I was set back a year of lacrosse due to injuries. After a year of recovery, I was ready and even more determined to get better at the sport of lacrosse. I began playing for Revolution Lacrosse as a defender and I loved it but that all changed when my town lacrosse team didn't have a goalie and being the team player I am, I stepped in to try it out. Both my town coaches as well as my club coaches said I had a natural talent and so in the fall of my eighth grade year after being told I needed to decrease my running/playing time in lacrosse due to injuries once again so I became a full time goalie. At first I extremely disliked the position and never had fun, but once I realized that this was the only way I was going to continue playing lacrosse, I took on the challenge of becoming the goalie I am today. So far in my year and a half of being a goalie, I was the starting goalie for the Varsity lacrosse team as a freshman where I faced 226 shots, 118 goals against, and saved 108 total shots throughout the season. I was also named Second team All-State goalie for Division II (Bayview Academy), and had the amazing opportunity of being selected as an underclass player for the Under Armour All American New England Command Team. Outside of lacrosse, I also participate in crew for my high school St. Mary Academy BayView, where I made the varsity team as a freshman. I have also been a member at the Narragansett Boat Club in East Providence, RI.
