My name is Kate Timarky, I am a sophomore at Centereach High School with a 4.0 GPA. I love learning in school, being involved in school activities and the challenge of being a student athlete. Being an active student has taught me how to manage my time very well.

I have had a love for lacrosse since I started playing at six years old. I still remember the night before my first game, I slept with my goggles on my face and my stick in my hand. We still laugh when we see the picture that my mom took.

I was honored to be offered a spot to play on my high school’s varsity team when I was in 7th grade, where I ended up starting and playing every game. In addition to lacrosse, I play varsity volleyball and travel volleyball for LI Academy club as well.

I have been playing on my LI Yellow Jacket-Thorn travel team since 3rd grade and have developed strong relationships with my teammates and coaches. Not only have I learned so much from my coaches through the years, but my teammates have taught me lifetime lessons as well. My dream is to play lacrosse in college, and I work very hard every day to work towards this goal. I also focus on developing my skills every time I play and being a good teammate on and off the field because I believe good chemistry contributes to the success of the team.
