Katherine Duperier
Recruit Profile
Aggressive, hardworking teammate with great stick skills. Determined to get faster and play both defense and attack.
I started playing lacrosse in fifth grade, I was about eleven/twelve, for Queen City Stars. I was introduced to the sport through one of my really good friends at the time, and later played for Alexander Graham Middle School and Queen City year round. I was an MVP throughout my middle school lacrosse career (other than the beginning of 7th grade because of a fractured ankle). In 9th grade, I made the JV team for Myers Park High School and continued as an MVP player for the team. I was recognized for my skills this first year and then recruited up to Varsity for 10th grade. I am comfortable in both hands, playing low and high defense, clearing the ball up the field, one v one defense, and ground balls. I have also played club soccer for Charlotte Junior Soccer for the past 12 years. I sometimes participate in swimming too during the winter. I am enrolled in the IB program at my school and will continue it into the 11th and 12th grade. I participate in the Hunger Drive, HOSA States Competition, and Clothes for Change Clothing Sale through school. I am hoping to gain a leadership role in HOSA and the InterACT club next year. I also spend many hours volunteering through the Relatives and Urban Ministry.
