Katherine McDonough is entering her second year as an assistant coach with the Stonehill women's lacrosse program.

McDonough works primarily with the Skyhawks defensive unit on head coach Katie Conover's staff.

In her first season at her alma mater, the Stonehill defense ranked second in the Northeast-10 Conference with 171 caused turnovers and 364 ground balls, while ranking third with a 9.17 goals against average. Senior defender Cara Corvino earned All-America honors as well for the Skyhawks, which finished the season with a 12-7 record overall, reaching the NE10 semifinals.

McDonough returned to Stonehill after two seasons as assistant coach at Wellesley High School. She helped coach Michelle Cook guide the Raiders to a pair of appearances in the MIAA South Sectional finals.

McDonough is a 2014 graduate of Stonehill, earning her Bachelor's Degree in communication. She was a four-year letterwinner for Coach Conover, serving as team captain as a senior when she also received the program's Leadership Award. McDonough was a two-time All-NE10 performer for the Skyhawks, earning first team honors as a senior, when she was selected to participate in the IWLCA Division II North-South Senior All-Star Game. She also earned NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll status for her work in the classroom.
