Hi I'm Kayleigh! I started playing recreational lacrosse in Kindergarten and began playing competitively in 7th grade. Freshman year of high school I made the Sacred Heart Academy, Hempstead, NY Varsity lacrosse team and the summer after I was invited to play in the FLG all-star game. I am a defender who is comfortable on both sides of the field and I especially pride myself on my 1 v. 1 defense. During the summer of 2019, I was a starting defender for Yellow Jackets Gold. I now play for theYellow Jackets Blue team coached by Coach Curcio. In the past, I volunteered 3 years at the Theresa Academy of Performing Arts, which is a short day camp for children and adults with special needs. More recently I have volunteered at the Michelle O'Neil Foundation, which supports childhood cancer patients and their families, and the Long Beach Polar Bear Plunge, which supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This school year, I take AP World History, Honors Literature, and Honors Chemistry, and next year I am taking AP U.S History, AP Chemistry, Honors Math, and Honors necessary Computer Science.
