My first exposure to lacrosse was in kindergarten when I joined the Chatham developmental clinic. I quickly fell in love with the sport and was selected to play for DEWLAX in 3rd grade. I have been a starting defender on the DEWLAX 2023 Black team for the last 8 years. My team was ranked 8th in the country in the 2021 pre-season. I also play lacrosse and basketball for Chatham High School. My strengths as a defender are my ability to lead the defense by communicating with my teammates, pressuring the offense resulting in turnovers, clearing the ball and using my speed and agility in transition. As a sophomore, I was selected to play for the New Jersey North team at the Schoolgirls tournament. I also was selected to the All-Star Team at the Western Winners Showcase in June, 2021 (one of only five defenders to be selected). I have an extremely strong academic record, consistently making the high honor roll. My weighted GPA is 4.47 as of the end of my sophomore year. I took honors English, AP U.S. History and honors Spanish my sophomore year and am planning to take five AP classes during my junior year. I am the Vice President of my class and I am a member of Key Club, Spanish Club and Play Unified. I was recently selected by a committee of teachers to be in LINKS, a highly competitive mentorship program in my high school. I also won a National Community Service Award last year for my community service efforts. I am an extremely coachable player who always gives maximum effort and understands the importance of being a team player. I am a leader on and off the field, working hard both academically and athletically. I am so excited to begin my recruitment process and cannot wait to see what the future holds for my lacrosse career.
