Recruit Profile
In goal, my dimensions are 10' x 10', my skills are solid; bringing my ultimate best efforts as a player and teammate is who I am; strength of character is fundamental.
Playing lacrosse goal keeper since fifth grade, I have learned resolute concentration and the unwavering perseverance this game demands. I believe I have the skills and discipline to play college lacrosse and continue to show my resolve in getting there.
My goal is to play lacrosse at the college level. I am determined to earn the privilege.
The CT Grizzlies club team provided valuable game experience.
Summer and Fall seasons are dedicated to training and clinics: 2015, Brine National Lacrosse All New England Team; 2018 Women Indoor Lacrosse Championships; Fall 2018 Philly Showcase All-Star Team; 2018 Northwestern Summer Lacrosse Camp All-Star Team.
As a varsity team sophomore game goalie, my team handed highly ranked Ridgewood (NJ) a rare defeat; my DHS junior year saves = 55%. The team won all games where I was the starting goalie at DHS.
I accepted the boarding school challenge when I realized I needed to test how good I could be with different teams and coaches and against new opponents. Breaking out of my comfort zone was gut wrenching, but crucial. I wanted to measure my skills against different and equally challenging standards and decided to test my athletics and academics outside of what I had known since youth sport.
I stepped out and into a new school and new teams, reclassed as a 2021 goalie.
I am a three sport athlete but most passionate about lacrosse. I train to improve on the skills and willpower that are critical at the college level. I wanted to broaden my challenges. Now, entrenched in boarding school at Canterbury with a 4.0, GPA, I have included swimming as part of my fitness training, along with earning lifeguard certification. I continue to train at Blue Streak and one-on-one with goalie coaches including Chris Madalon.
I continually balance my commitment to lacrosse, academics (AP Bio, honors Tech) and orchestra (cello), but also to worthy projects such as GapMedics, where I will have the opportunity during late summer 2020 to shadow international physicians volunteering their services to medically under-served people in other countries.
My goal is to play lacrosse at the college level. I am working to earn the privilege.
