Kiara Young
Recruit Profile
Quick learner, strong lax IQ, disciplined, coachable, aggressive in goal, quick hands, great clears!
I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade as a field player and then alternated in playing goalie. At first, I struggled on whether to focus on being a field player or being a goalie. Today I am so happy with my decision to play goalie. As a Freshman, I made the Varsity High School team and played. We won CIF Open Division in the San Diego area. I am comfortable in the cage and I love the game.
Academically, I achieved 4.47 WGPA. My goal is to grow as a student, teammate and leader on the field in an effort to earn a chance to play D1, D2, D3 Womens Lacrosse at an amazing University.
I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a Biology or Biomedical major that will position me well for the future. On the field, I plan to be the best goalie and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college lacrosse career, I will strive to be an asset to my teammates and the team. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.

Kiara is a very quick, athletic, high-energy goalie who is comfortable both in and out of the crease. She is dedicated and hard-working, the kind of athlete who puts in all the reps on her own. A great shot-stopper with the coachability to match.
