Kyle Hayes joined LIU men's lacrosse as an assistant coach in August 2022.

Hayes, a native of New Hyde Park on Long Island, previously served as head coach at Division III Manhattanville College.

His previous collegiate coaching experience includes serving as offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Babson College, as defensive coordinator at Misericordia University, and as defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Wheaton College.

With Hayes’ coaching contribution, Manhattanville earned recognition as a USILA Scholar All-American team last season. And, two seasons ago, Babson won its first-ever NEWMAC championship and earned its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1979 with Hayes as a top lieutenant.

At the professional level, Hayes’ resume includes serving as advanced scouting coordinator for the Long Island Lizards in 2017 and ’18.

He was team captain and director of operations for the Ole Miss club team during his undergraduate days in Oxford. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Ole Miss, then earned a master’s degree in organizational management while coaching at Misericordia.
