Hi my name is Lara Palermo and I attend Ramapo Highschool in Franklin Lakes New Jersey. I am graduating in 2024. I first picked up a stick when I was in first grade with my brother in the front yard. My brother's name is Luca and he is 2 years older than me. I always wanted to be just like him growing up so I started playing lacrosse very young. My mom and dad are very supportive of me so they encouraged me to try new sports. In my town the earliest you could join a wreck team was 3rd grade. So that was the first time I have ever been on a lacrosse team. Ever since then I loved lacrosse and have developed into a coachable, aggressive, positive player with good communication skills, a high lax IQ and I am always looking to improve. I started to realize that I have a growing passion for the game and wanted to play for a club team. I joined Xtreme Lax Factory 2024, and still currently play on the team. I am a Midfielder/Draw taker and I am confident when driving the net. As a freshman I was selected to play Varsity lacrosse at Ramapo. I was the only freshman to make varsity that year. As a sophomore I earned my starting spot on the field.
Growing up I tried almost every sport, but the ones that stuck with me the most were soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Soccer and basketball were a huge part of my life up until highschool. I played for club teams and my middle school teams. I have always been a good teammate because I have been playing sports and have been on so many teams in my life. In high school I then picked up track. My school has a Winter track as well as spring track. I was on the winter track team and I did 200 sprints and hurdles. This was my first time ever doing track but I wanted to try something new. At my school I am also involved in two clubs that donate money to charities or do community service. I have a job as well, I work at a local hair salon in Franklin Lakes called Chateau Salon. I am a receptionist, I answer phones, make appointments and help out around the salon.
