Laurel Bonn
Recruit Profile
Multifaceted player, highly coachable, aggressive, vocal leader on the field, and multi-sport athlete.
I started playing lacrosse at age 4 and began Team Elevate in the 6th grade. As an eighth grader, I played JV Field Hockey, Varsity Basketball, and played for the Varsity Lacrosse team. Last year as a sophomore, I was a starter on the Varsity Lacrosse team and Varsity Field Hockey team. I am a very aggressive defender who will chase after and get every ground ball. I am very confident with man-to-man defense and when in a zone defense. I am a leader on the field and am very loud on defense. I can also be put on the circle for draws and on offense, as I am comfortable going to goal with both hands and finishing my shot. I am taking AP Chemistry, AP US History, AP Seminar, and all other honor classes. I am the treasurer of Environmental Club and am a member of National English Honor Society, National Art Society, Latin Honor Society, Habitat for Humanity, Key Club, and NHD Club. I enjoy playing the ukulele, volunteering in my community, and painting.

Laurel Bonn is by far one of the hardest workers both on and off the lacrosse field. Not only is she fast, aggressive and relentless on the field, but she also has tremendous lax IQ. Laurel’s situational awareness and attention to detail allow her to perform at the highest level and to push her teammates to do the same. In her first season playing low defense after switching from the midfield, Laurel was one of the top 3 defenders on her club team. Her one on one defense is nearly unbeatable, all while also leading the team in ground balls, forced turnovers, and other critical categories. Laurel is an extremely intelligent, coachable, and hard working defender who leads by example through her elite level of play and dedication to her teammates and coaches. My favorite thing about Laurel is her desire to put the team first no matter what. She has always been the first player to say “I’ll play anywhere you need me to coach.” If we were low on defenders Laurel would consistently step up and play an entire tournament out of her position because that’s what the team needed. That quality of Laurel is what led us to find out that she is an incredible low defender.
