Coach Lillian Gutierrez is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the Patriots after joining UC in the Summer of 2022.

Prior to UC, Gutierrez spent the last season as an assistant coach for Adrian College, a NCAA Division III school in the MIAA conference. Gutierrez got her collegiate coaching start at the NAIA level as she served as a graduate assistant for St. Andrews for two seasons. In both roles Gutierrez worked with the defense and goalies.

Gutierrez was an original member of the Patriots lacrosse program, which began in 2016. During her four year Patriot career, she recorded 49 ground balls, 28 caused turnovers, and tallied six points. Gutierrez was an AAC Second Team All-Conference selection in 2017. Gutierrez was a member of two conference championship teams and helped the Patriots reach the semifinals of the NAIA Invitational in both 2018 and 2019.

Gutierrez graduated from UC in 2019 with a degree in Sports & Fitness Management with a minor in Business Administration. She will be pursuing her Maters in Business Administration.

"I am very exited to come back to UC and be apart of this program! I'm very thankful for Coach Buikus for having me back to be a part of the coaching staff," said Gutierrez. "It brings back all the memories of when we started the back-to-back championships and nationals champion appearances. I look forward to continuing the success of this program!"
