Logan Murphy
Recruit Profile
High IQ lax/hockey team player who is Coachable, tenacious and hard working! Passionate about sports and being a good citizen in my local/JROTC community.
I started playing lacrosse as a 3 year old at a local summer camp watching my older brother play! It was here where I began my journey into the world of lacrosse, trading my “binkie and blankie” for my first stick as a challenge from an inspirational Coach who had a profound impact on my passion for the sport. I fell in love with the sport right then and there. Fast forward about ten years and I was an eighth grade attackman on the Varsity lacrosse team. I was leading scorer for my sophomore class shortened season this past year. I lead my club team in goals and assists. I pride myself in working as hard as possible to meet my goals and being able to dodge comfortably with both hands which makes me a huge threat when dodging and shooting. I addition to Lacrosse, I also play defensemen on the Varsity hockey team. Sports however have not completely defined me. I am an avid fisherman and love to go boating and hunting. I attend Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Albany, NY. CBA is a nationally recognized ROTC program, where I am ranked a Sergeant. I also participate in Color Guard, Honor Guard and play the Saxaphone in Regimental Marching Band. I was awarded the $10,000 AOPA Flight Scholarship in February of 2021 to earn my Private Pilots license at Richmor Aviation. I am a member of Civil Air Patrol and the fundraising coordinator for Nicks Fight to be Healed which is a childhood cancer non-profit organization that supports children and families who have been impacted by this horrible disease. We provide “Hope Bags” to Albany Medical Center, approximately 60 a year and host several fundraising activities throughout the year. I challenge myself academically with AP, College Meteorology and take my studies seriously.
