Smart, tremendous attitude, exceptional work-ethic and talented are the first thoughts that come to mind when reflecting upon Luke Barber as a lacrosse player, student and person. Luke Barber personifies the qualities that every coach demands when building a team. Luke will perform any task instructed to perform with great ability and leadership. In all seriousness, I coached football and lacrosse for 27 years and 17 respectively; I have come across few student-athletes that share the character Luke Barker possesses. He is selfless, places the team above his needs and continuously searches for ways to improve his lacrosse ability in order to benefit the team. Luke will enhance the play of any program and improve, not only the culture of a lacrosse program, but the general college/university community at large. Luke is an extremely hard worker whose passion and IQ for the game sets a positive example for his teammates. He is the first one in the door and one of the last ones out. Luke continuously looks for ways to improve his skills - whether that comes from individual training or giving maximum effort daily at practice. Although he is the best player in the program, Luke gets everyone involved and will always make the extra pass. Luke will be a massive addition to whatever team he joins in the future - academic, athletic, or work related.
