Team player with strong physical skills, hard worker and aggressive multi-sport athlete.
I started playing lacrosse when I was 12. My primary position is defense and I can take the draw when needed. I have a team first mentality and excel on defense because of my foot work, communication, physicality, speed and vision. I consider myself a hard worker who is coachable.
In addition to playing varsity lacrosse, I play varsity basketball and field hockey. I have been a starter on the varsity field hockey team since 8th grade and was named captain for junior year. As a freshman, I played for the varsity basketball team. I also work weekly with a strength and conditioning coach.
In my free time, I participate in many extra curricular activities such as Girl Scouts, Sewing Club, Red Key Club, Student Ambassador, Upton House, SADD, Solider Support and Bake a Change.
The Girl Scout organization is very meaningful to me. I have been a member of the Girl Scouts since kindergarten. I have been a Student Ambassador since 6th grade. As a freshman, I was selected by the School to join the Red Key Club. As a member of the Club, I am responsible for representing the School on panels, giving tours to prospective students and answering parents questions about the School.

Colin McCullough
Mackenzie is one of newer athletes and she is able to stand toe to toe with our seasoned veterans in the training room. Not only is she an extremely hard worker she shows up consistently ready to train. Her athleticism was noticeable from the get go but it is her coachability, her willingness to learn, that shines throughout every training session.
Julie Boynton
Mackenzie is is a goal oriented, dedicated and self motivated athlete. She leads by example and has worked hard over the past 3 years on her skill development, strength, and quickness. Her competitive nature makes her an outstanding performer under pressure. With her height, quickness and field awareness, Mackenzie was the backbone of our defense this past season. She is an absolute pleasure to coach and as an educator and coach, I believe Mackenzie epitomizes what a student/athlete should be.
Tanner Guarino
Mackenzie is a hard working defender! She has a great understanding of team defense and makes strong, smart slides. She has a big presence on the field and uses her size well. Mackenzie communicates well with her teammates. She is a great kid and always eager to continue to learn and grow her game!
Kristin Igoe
Mackenzie has been a great addition to our Gold Star 2024 team! As a low defender, she plays very smart, and is a key piece to our team D. Her slides are excellent - many times she has prevented the other team from scoring by being that quick, aggressive player to crash. She is loaded with potential! Mackenzie is also a great teammate and pleasure to coach
