Mackenzie is probably in the top 5 of the most gifted natural athletes I have ever coached (and I have been coaching since 1995). She is taller then 6 feet and runs like the wind. Despite her length she is a vacuum on ground balls - she has terrific hand eye coordination which serves her well on ground balls, checks, and draw controls. She is a student of the game and is getting better every day. I cannot imagine a player with a bigger upside. This year she has transitioned to midfield some with her HS team which makes sense given her speed - her stick and decision making on that end will only improve as she gets more time and more comfortable there. She shoots the ball like a rocket although on our team this summer we will want her on the field a lot so she may spend more time on defense then in the midfield but will always have the green light to go over and be a threat whenever it makes sense. It is my belief that with the daily D1 coaching she will be an impact player anywhere.

Mackenzie is a rising junior that had a breakout 2022 sophomore season. This was her first season playing midfield, as she was converted from defense and she impacted every facet of the game as a midfielder. She has a natural ability to be a takeaway defender with her size and instincts. She had 29 goals and 19 assists, and her offensive game is still developing. What sets Mackenzie apart is the impact she has on the game in transition and in the draw circle. Her ability to start transition with caused turnovers and ground balls, with long accurate passes changes games. She is coach-able and demonstrates a true love for lacrosse with the energy she brings to practice every day.
