Hi, my name is Madeline Hill!
I started playing lacrosse at 12. I quickly grew a love for the game and knew that it was the sport for me. In my freshman year of high school, I made Staples High School Varsity (Westport, CT) girls lacrosse. The experience on a varsity team as a freshman allowed me to be around older and more experienced players, which allowed me to grow even more as a player. Currently, I play for Gold Coast Girls Lacrosse 22 Gold.
I additionally play JV field hockey for my high school and run on my high schools track team in the winter. Playing multiple sports has allowed me to learn how to create strong relationships with my teammates. On my club team, we have learned, as teammates, to learn each others strengths and play to them. I have found my strength in the attack position because I am able to make strong, quick cuts and strongly ride the ball when it is turned over to the other team in order to gain possession back.

In my freshman year, I took Global History Honors, and made First Honors. In my sophomore year, I took AP U.S history and earned a 5 on my AP test for the course. I ended my sophomore year with a 3.67 gpa. In my junior year, I will be taking AP U.S Government, as well as AP Environmental Science. I have loved working with a program called Light House in Bridgeport, CT that provides over 2400 students daily with a supportive and safe environment after school and during the summer. Working with the kids brings so much happiness to them as well as me. I have also worked with the summer camp program at Earth Place as a counselor in training. At both programs, I have helped the kids with homework and lead them in physical and creative activities.

I look forward to my next two club and high school seasons in lacrosse and am hopeful to continue my lacrosse journey in college.
