I’ve had the unique privilege of teaching Madelyn as an 8th grader and coaching her the last two seasons. Her ability to focus is second to none. If there’s a task at hand, she makes it happen. On the field, her strongest attribute is her stick skill. While she’s right handed, you wouldn’t know it because both of her hands are dominant on the field. She’s extremely coachable. She started as an attacker, but she’s developed her defensive skills tremendously over the past year and has expanded her playing abilities and can now play anywhere on the field. She takes a leadership role and isn’t afraid to ask questions, teach younger players, and take the shot! She is kind beyond measure and embodies the meaning of team player.

Madelyn is a integral part of our 2023 Lanco Elite team. She is extremely coachable, focused and driven. She is a steady and consistent player on the attack/midfield area and is always willing to jump into any spot we need her in. Her stick work and lacrosse IQ have come a long way in the past 12 months and she is the definition of a true team player. She is really starting to understand the cut timing on the attack end and is never shy about putting herself in a position to score. She does a good job seeking out draws and going in 2s. She continues to improve on her defensive IQ/positioning and has become a steady and tenacious midfield defender in the past 6 months.
