Maggie Fern
Recruit Profile
Strong, coachable player always looking to improve. High Lax IQ.
I am an aggressive, communicative defender and a great team player. I fell in love with lacrosse when I started playing in fourth grade for a small local team before joining The Tenacity Project in eighth grade and working my way up to the Tenacity Elite 2022 team. I attend Berkeley High School where I made varsity and starting center as a freshman. I was elected captain my sophomore year where I had the opportunity to use my leadership skills and score over half of my teams goals in our shortened season. I also started playing water polo my freshman year of high school and made varsity my sophomore year. I want to excel at everything I do, so I sought out a top water polo club when I started playing water polo for top-notch coaching and dedicated teammates, even for my second sport. During the Spring lacrosse season, I often join the swim team for a morning workout before hitting the field in the afternoon. When I am not playing, I work as a lifeguard and swim instructor at my local pool and often coach for the local lacrosse club because I love helping the young lacrosse community. In my free time, I can be found participating in church activities, at home baking or cooking, or sewing something new. Academically, I am taking AP US History and AP Language and Composition and work hard in the classroom.
