"I chose CMSV because it is a nationally recognized independent liberal arts college; a small and inclusive community that prepares student/athletes not only athletically but academically for their future," Sandoval told CMSVAthletics.com.

Coach Sandoval comes to the Riverdale campus after a four-year stint as the head coach of the Division II Dominican College lacrosse program, where he also served as the head coach of the women's soccer team, as well as assuming the role of Assistant Athletic Director.

Before his time at the collegiate level, Coach Sandoval spent five years (2004-2009) at the Portledge School in Locust Valley, New York. It was there where he also helped coach Portledge's men's basketball and junior varsity soccer teams. He was also named the school's Assistant Athletic Director and Facilities Coordinator over the final two years of his tenure. Coach Sandoval's high school experience also includes creating the lacrosse program at the Wheatley School, head coach at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, assistant coach at John F. Kennedy High School, junior varsity head coach at Sewanhaka High School and president of the New York Metropolitan Lacrosse Coaches Association from 2005-2009.

Coach Sandoval's extensive coaching career goes beyond both the college and high school levels, as he also currently serves as the director of the Long Island Pride Lacrosse Club and is a three-time assistant coach of the Long Island Empire State Gold Medal Lacrosse Teams (2001, 2002 and 2006).

Coach Sandoval, who resides in Farmingdale, New York with his wife Audra and daughter Hope, has his sights set on improving the atmosphere of the program from day one.

"My expectations for this up coming season and beyond is to develop and improve the program to become a major force in the Skyline Conference."
