Maxwell Olson-Burkman
Recruit Profile
Ability to work on multiple teams and positions. Respect coaches and feedback to improve skills. Leader on field. Multi-sport athlete. Grades very important.
I started my lacrosse career at age 9 for my hometown Becker Youth Lacrosse where I played as an attack and mid field. As soon as our youth organization let me I moved to a D-pole to play defense and LSM. At 13 I joined MN True Lacrosse and played on my age group team and JV during tournaments the first few years until True grew to have more teams and now I am on the MN True 2023 AAA. In 9th grade I joined MN True Box Lacrosse and played up to the high school team that first year which is my current team and have really enjoyed the challenge and pace of the game. I've developed excellent stick skills, combined with my athleticism and speed I've been able to assist many teammates in fast break plays, helping them score as well as putting points on the board myself. I enjoy the challenge of the ground ball and clearing the ball. I've played on my high school Varsity team since 8th grade and starting varsity offensive line for Football since 10th grade. I take pride at being a leader on the field and leading by example. I am an excellent student, with a 3.79 GPA taking as many accelerated math classes as possible, in preparation for college. I give back to the community, one of the areas is by working with Becker Backpack Buddies that helps kids with food insecurities by packaging and delivering food to the schools in our district for students to take home. In my free time I enjoy hunting, fishing, working on my truck and working out at the gym. I have a deep passion for lacrosse and hope to contribute to a team through my collegiate career.

Jared Knowlton
Max is the kind of player every coach wants on their team. He is physically gifted with speed, size, and physicality; and, he has the requisite lacrosse skills to match. Max would find success at any level of lacrosse because of these traits. However, the thing that sets Max apart from the rest is his leadership. He leads using his voice, as well as by example. Between his strengths as a student, and his strengths as an athlete, he would be a great addition to any college program. Please feel free to reach out to me to know more about Max at jknowlton@truelacrosse.com.

Max is a hard-nosed, athletic, and physical defender with a high compete level that gives him an edge in competition. He wants to win and is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team get there. He has the size, speed, and handles the ball well enough to create opportunities in transition. Off of the field, he's a good kid: smart, hard working, and a great student.
