Megan Vandenburg
Recruit Profile
I am a versatile player and can play anywhere on the field and love all positions.
I have been playing lacrosse since third grade. I also played club volleyball on a national level club team through 9th grade. I play on the Varsity team for my high school and I have made the Orange County National Team and competed at the National Tournament both years. I played for Pacific Falcons up through U15 Nationals as a midfielder (draw) and placed 9th in the tournament which was the best a West Coast team had ever done. For HS my team needed defenders and I love playing defense as well. Although I'm not getting as many goals I love the challenge of stopping my opponents and protecting our goalie (who was new to lacrosse both years). I play for West Coast Starz 2019 Gold team now and will normally play attack at our travel tournaments but switch to midfield often. I love playing all positions and as long as I am an impact player for my team and help my team win I am happy.
I have always liked to challenge myself and want the same in college. I am looking to major in Biology/Biotech at a school where I can have opportunities to do hands-on research. I am currently taking AP and Honors classes in high school and will take the ACT this September.
I live in a small beach town in Orange County and I love the ocean and being at the beach. When I am not playing lacrosse you can usually find me in the water. I was an assistant for OC Jr Lifeguards for 3 years and I am CPR certified.
