Michael (Mike) Gallop enters his second year as an assistant coach for the Western Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse team in 2019-20 academic year.

Gallop will primarily work with the offensive unit and goalkeepers. He will also assist with recruiting throughout the summer.

Prior to his appointment with the women, Gallop served as the assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Western Connecticut State University for five years 2011-2015.

Mike Gallop has been passionately involved in lacrosse since playing club lacrosse at SUNY New Paltz. After college, he played in post-college programs like Sound Shore Lacrosse Club and summer league.

Gallop serves as the Director of Operations for Yellow Jackets North Girls Lacrosse Club. He has two daughters both playing lacrosse in college: Kaia Gallop at Binghamton University (Division I) and Teja Gallop at Limestone College (Division II).

Mike resides in Brookfield, Connecticut with his wife Danielle Gallop.
