Profile
Mike Wilus was promoted to interim head coach following the retirement of Gordon Webb in January 2020 and was endorsed as head coach two months later.

Wilus picked up his first career win in the team's second game of 2020, topping Norwich University by a 10-7 mark. The Panthers were just three games into the season when the COVID-19 pandemic halted spring sports.

In 2019 Wilus helped lead the Panthers to their best LEC record in program history.

Prior to joining the staff at Plymouth State, Wilus was the associate head coach at Lynn University after spending three years as the first assistant. After a 1-10 inaugural campaign, Wilus helped lead the Fighting Knights to an 8-7 tally in 2015 and 9-5 in 2016.

Wilus joined the Fighting Knights following a two-year stint at NCAA Division III Gwynedd-Mercy College. During his tenure at GMC, the Griffins posted an 18-12 overall record while going 9-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Wilus’ squad made strides each season at Gwynedd-Mercy including a 10 percent increase in production for the man-up unit that ranked top-30 in Division III. In 2012, Laxpower.com named GMC as the fifth most improved team throughout NCAA Division III lacrosse.

Wilus played in 37 career games as member of the Division I University of Massachusetts men’s lacrosse team from 2007-11. The Minutemen went 32-26 during his career and made the NCAA Tournament in his sophomore season for the first time since 2006.

Wilus also serves as a member of the Plymouth State admissions team, holding the role of Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions.
