Wagner was a four-year captain and starter at attack before graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Wagner was named to the All-CCLA team at attack in his senior season (2005).

During his senior year, Wagner joined former teammates David Aktary and Jason Watts as an assistant coach at Northville High School. In 2006, Wagner joined the UM-Dearborn coaching staff as an assistant.

Wagner is responsible for coaching the midfielders, goalies, and running the substitution box during games. He is also the team's recruiting coordinator.

Wagner currently resides in the Metro Detroit Area and works as an Account Manager at an automotive supplier. Wagner is also the President of the Motor City Lacrosse Club in the MCLC.
