Molly Malone
Recruit Profile
Leader, coachable, strong lacrosse IQ, multi sport athlete, aggressive, hard working, and team player.
I have been playing lacrosse since kindergarten and have loved it since. I play club for Jersey Shore Select (formally T3) and high school for Red Bank Catholic. I play defense even though I've played every position (including goalie). Staying in top shape is very important to me, so I train with my schools winter track team on top of practicing with JSS and RBC. I also began field hockey this year and lettered as well as started. Academically I am focused and retain a 3.5 GPA while taking honors classes. I try and give back to my community and the game as much as I can. With this, I have over 100 hours in volunteering service. From coaching 5-6th grade recreational programs for my town, as well as JSS 2026/27s. To tutoring children from the local middle school every Monday night. I came across this great opportunity through my club, Casey Caregivers which is dedicated to cheering up and raising money for children suffering from cancer, other disabilities, and anyone else who is less fortunate. I love this game and can't wait for the future.

This was my third-year coaching in the Maryland Showcase and an absolute pleasure to have Molly put on my showcase team. Molly originally signed up and was listed as a defender on my roster. However, after having a few midfielders not show up, Molly stepped up and offered to run midfield whenever it was needed- despite the heat and “playing out of position”. Though Molly is a strong and lethal defender, it was easy to see she is a natural midfielder. I cannot say enough good things about Molly after only coaching her for a few days. Molly is quick and confident on the circle. If you need a draw control you can count on Molly to win a ground ball or possession for you. While she was not used to playing on the attacking side, Molly was calm, collected, and a leader during our offensive possessions. She is quick throughout the midfield in transitions and has great field vision whether it is finding the next open pass or reading the re-defend. Defensively she plays big and confident. Molly makes great contact, is always a slide ahead to help, quick to the stick on an 8 meter, and constantly communicates with her team. She is a natural leader on and off the field, has a strong lacrosse IQ, is hardworking and willing to put her team before herself. Molly will make an excellent addition to any program she becomes apart of at any division.

Molly is an extremely solid defender with great footwork and fundamentals. She has great stick skills that allow her to clear the ball both effectively and efficiently up the field. Molly is extremely coachable and always applies coaches corrections and feedback immediately on the field.
