Monica Scott

Profile
Monica Scott joined the Centre Athletics staff as women's lacrosse coach in the summer of 2017.

The Colonels put together a stellar season in Scott's inaugural campaign, going 15-3 overall. The Colonels won a program-best 13 games in a row during one stretch, all by 10 or more goals. Along with her own SAA Coach of the Year honor, Scott helped mentor 2018 SAA Defensive Player of the Year Natalie Marek. Marek joined Hannah Bellamah, Colleen Jackson and Haden Gibbons on the IWLCA All-Region squad, as well.

Scott arrived at Centre after having coached the previous three seasons at Division II Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga. Scott guided Emanuel to a 10-5 record – the best mark in school history – in 2017, the program's third full season of women's lacrosse.

Before working at Emmanuel, Scott served as a student-athlete mentor at the University of Georgia, where she earned her Master's degree in Sport Management and Policy in December of 2014.

Originally from Roanoke, Va., Scott is a 2013 graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she was a player and coach on the school's women's lacrosse club team.
