I started playing lacrosse in 8th grade. I got into the game of lacrosse pretty late but made sure to work hard to get better everyday. From watching any lacrosse game, mens or womens, to begging my dad to pass the ball with me, I tried everything to get out there and progress my skills. As soon as I picked up a stick I automatically fell in love with it and immediately knew I wanted to be on defense. There is just something about man-to-man defense that I love. My favorite classes so far have to be honors yearbook and honors African American studies. I am involved with Project Unify at my school that helps spread awareness of the importance of inclusion of all students, disabled and non-disabled. The club has given me lasting friendships through various activities during school as well as outside of school. I joined it freshman year and I absolutely love it.
