Nathan Ryerson
Recruit Profile
Drive and passion for the game and a great work ethic. Willing to go the extra mile and put in the extra time. Dedicated to team and teammates.
I began playing lacrosse in 4th grade. I immediately took to the position of goalie and have played that position since then. I have played club lacrosse since fifth grade starting with Team Latitude, 3d Oregon, and currently with Team Oregon (formerly Madlax Oregon). Unfortunately due to Covid there was no lacrosse season in 2020. I have been starting Varsity for the last two years. During my Sophomore season I broke the school record for number of saves in one game with 20 saves and was also voted MVP by my team. This year, my Junior year, I was voted to be a team Captain. Mid-year I was named HS Player of the Week for having a 93% save average against our rival team (15 saves, 1 goal allowed). I ended this high school season 1st Team Northwest All Conference, 2nd Team All-State, and got an invite to the Oregon All Star game. I have strength with low shots and feeds to the crease. I am comfortable meeting the ball on crease and can outlet the ball accurately. I have also helped in summer with clinics for youth lacrosse and helped train upcoming students. As for academics, I have taken Honors Chemistry and Advanced US History, advanced math all years and in my Junior year I took several IB (AP) courses this year including IB Physics, IB Psychology, and IB Math Analysis. My GPA is currently a 4.18. I am taking several more IB courses my senior year and am on track to graduate with honors and be a school Valedictorian.
