Fiorentino led the Knights to a pair of postseason appearances during his first three seasons on the sidelines. Geneseo capped the 2019 campaign with its first SUNYAC Championship game appearance in seven years after upsetting second-seeded Plattsburgh on the road, 11-10, in the tournament semifinals. He also mentored defenseman Jack Crowley '19 to honorable-mention All-America honors from the USILA along with three SUNYAC All-Conference selections. The Knights finished the season with an 8-10 record against a schedule that included seven games opposite nationally-ranked opponents.

Fiorentino made an immediate impact on the program during his first season in 2017, leading Geneseo to its first postseason berth in five seasons as well as a 9-6 record for its highest win total in seven years. He also guided the Knights to a 7-7 mark in 2018 as three players garnered All-SUNYAC honors.

Fiorentino came to Geneseo after serving as an assistant coach at Rochester Institute of Technology where he was the recruiting coordinator and defensive assistant for the Tigers. He also was the Chief Operating Officer for the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Rochester Rattlers, with responsibilities that included working with sponsorship sales, public relations, marketing, game day operations and ticket sales during the 2016 season.

Prior to his time in Rochester, Fiorentino served as the head assistant coach at Cortland, helping lead the Red Dragons to a pair of conference championships as well as two NCAA Division III Tournament Quarterfinal appearances. Serving as the team’s defensive coordinator, he oversaw a unit in 2014 that led the SUNYAC in scoring defense and finished among the national leaders in several other categories en route to a 17-4 record. Shifting over to offensive coordinator a season later, he was part of a 16-5 campaign as eight players brought home a total of 12 All-America certificates during his time in Cortland.

Fiorentino spent three seasons as associate head coach at Ohio Wesleyan from 2010-13. Overseeing recruiting and academic advising efforts for the program, he also guided the Battling Bishops’ offensive efforts during a run of three-consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament appearances as well as the inaugural North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championship in 2013.

Fiorentino’s first coaching experience came at Salisbury (Md.) under Jim Berkman, who is the NCAA’s all-time leader in men’s lacrosse victories.
