Norah McNeece

2021 | CT: Ridgefield

Recruit Profile
I play varsity lacrosse, basketball and volleyball and possess high leadership qualities yet I'm most passionate about lacrosse and my team! I maintain a 4.25 GPA while taking honors/AP classes.

I'm a good student, friend, teammate and have been a member of the National Honor Society and National Charity League but the traits that define me more than these things is being an athlete, competitor and a leader. I made the varsity basketball team as a freshman and sophomore, started and competed in the strong Fairfield County, CT conference and beat the number two ranked team in the state. I made varsity volleyball as a freshman and sophomore as an outside hitter and we ended up with a respectable 17-4 record and went to the semi finals in Fairfield County, CT and quarter finals in states and at one point we were ranked number 2 in the state. As a sophomore, I was the starting outside hitter of our very young team. With that said, my true love is lacrosse. I've been playing lacrosse since third grade and have always played attack. I love to be part of the fast break but feel just as comfortable working from any set offense and consider myself very coachable. I pass and finish strong with both hands and I take great pride in causing turnovers with a relentlessly hard ride all the way to the restraining line. I physically overpower my defender rolling crease yet I have worked hard on more off ball movement, cutting to the front of the cage and 1 v 1 from up top. As a 2021 player I was asked to play for our 2018 club team and scored 2 goals with limited time in a game with many college commits. Most important are my grades for my freshman and sophomore years at Ridgefield High School (highly ranked in CT and the nation). I maintain a 4.25 GPA (unweighted) while taking all high honors and AP classes. I graduated middle school with a 4.25 GPA and was co-winner of the K-12 Statistics Competition hosted by the Quantitative Analysis Center of CT at Wesleyan University-hard work does pay off! I have volunteered my time with special needs students during basketball season, I coach a youth basketball team, I help coach our freshman team during off-season workouts, volunteer as a Safe Rides driver and work at a local restaurant whenever I'm free. I'm also a member of Kiva.org which provides funding to worthwhile causes around the world.

Norah McNeece is a valued member of the Ridgefield HS Varsity Lacrosse Team. She has a nice presence as a crease attacker and can equally score as well as she assists. Norah's perseverance both on and off the field set her at the top of all expectations.

As an attacker, Norah's shot placement and crease moves set her apart. A multi-sport athlete (Volleyball, Basketball & Lacrosse) Norah always has her head up looking to make the assist. She has also worked very hard on mastering the draws. She is a standout teammate and leader.

I've coached Norah for two summer seasons and she continues to show improvement. She's a dedicated and committed athlete who is very coachable. Her IQ and vision make her stand out as an attacker, as well as her ability to provide physicality & technique on the draw circle and crease.

Norah is our go-to for crease rolls. Her lax IQ is stellar and is able to read the defenders and her teammates to determine best options to net. Although new to the draw, she quickly became a constant on the draw demonstrating her athletic ability
