Recruit Profile
Eminently coachable and highly competitive, capable multi sport athlete with strong work ethic paying dividends both scholastically and athletically.

I started playing lacrosse a bit later than most of my friends, around 12, as my dad had always been the town baseball coach from T-ball on up. I liked baseball and loved pitching. I was pretty good at baseball if I don't say so myself, recruited to several high level travel teams here on Long Island. However, all that pitching took a toll and I suffered an arm injury that needed time off to heal. In that time, I started messing around with a lacrosse stick and NEVER looked back! I fell in love with the game and was determined to catch up to all my friends who by now were playing for high end teams like Long Island Express and Team 91. I played non stop trying to develop the skills everyone else had already honed. I was already a pretty good Football and Basketball player, playing on travel teams for both, so with my dad's help, I broke the game of lacrosse down into common skills from my other sports and just applied what I already knew how to do...fast-break, finding the open man and help defense from basketball, hard nosed play and read and react from football. By 8th grade, I was the school's lacrosse team high scorer, face-off, MVP and team captain. I was lacrosse all the way now!...I hooked up with a good travel club, FLG, and switched to playing close defense as being a linebacker in football, it just made sense to me... l am still a THREE sport athlete here at Kellenberg Memorial highschool...starting at runningback and linebacker in football and point/shooting guard in basketball...I love sports! I am an all A's student in honors programs here at Kellenberg Highschool with a 4.3 G.P.A. adjusted for honors, I scored an 1190 on the PSAT with no preparation...I am also part of the prestigious P.R.E.P. program here at Kellenberg where I am allowed to mentor grammar school kids while teaching religious instruction, it is a great experience and I get as much out of it as they do. Well, that's my lacrosse story, hoping to be able to add a few lines that include playing in college!

I've coached PJ for the past 3 years and he shows a huge amount of upside and potential. He has been more physical than ever this last summer and used size to his advantage. PJ was poised and under control while handling the ball and covering some very skilled attackman.

PJ has played for me for the last 3 years. I have spent a ton of time with him and his family. PJ is a very skilled defenseman but he is an even better person. He has my highest recommendation.
