Paige Gardner
Recruit Profile
Very coachable, disciplined multi-sport athlete, team player and skilled ball handler, strong with possession, great assister and finisher, quick on the field.
I have been playing competitive lacrosse for about 5 years, from my town's rec league to my school team to club. As a freshman, I made Varsity at Princeton Day School, but unfortunately did not have a season due to Covid-19. I am now a sophomore varsity starter. This season I had 37 points, was the 2nd leading scorer on my team, and was named one of the top 75 sophomores in New Jersey by nj.com. After my sophomore season, I was selected for the NJ North team to play in the Schoolgirls National Tournament held yearly. I play for Dewlax '23 Black, and we are currently ranked 16th in the country. My strengths as an attacker are inside finishes, aggressive re-defending, and making plays from behind cage. In addition to lacrosse, I am on the Princeton Day School Girls Varsity Basketball team. Besides sports, I participate in recreational activities such as hiking, surfing, skiing, and photography. I am one of the 7 DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) leaders of my grade, and I am an accepted applicant of ECS, (energy and climate scholars) an energy and climate issues program affiliated with Princeton University. Next year, I am taking AP Human Geography and Environmental Science along with my other classes. During the summer, I work as a camp counselor in Maine at The GRBA, teaching tennis and sport's activities to 5-10 year old kids. I also work at Rouge, a clothing store in my town during the Fall and Summer as well. I volunteer at the Princeton Nursery School during the Fall as well.
