I have always loved playing competitive sports. As a young girl, I played both soccer and gymnastics with my main focus on gymnastics. I competed nationally and loved the competitive environment. My foundation as a gymnast has made me a better athlete because of my core strength and balance as well as my confident and competitive mindset. The combination of these two very different sports allowed me to experience first hand the differences between an individual sport and team sport and helped me understand my desire to be part of a team. In 7th grade I was introduced to lacrosse by my cousins and I LOVED it! At first, it was challenging to join a club surrounded by players with more experience than me, but I also knew I was up for the challenge. I learned to laugh at my misses and use them to fuel my desire to learn. During my first year of club lacrosse at DEWLAX I quickly moved from the Blue team to the stronger DEWLAX Black 2025 team. I continue to work hard at wall ball, speed & agility and strength at least 5 days a week. After my first season of club lacrosse, it quickly became my favorite sport, my main focus and I set my goal to play in college.
No matter what sport I am competing in, the more aggressive it is, the more comfortable I am. At my middle school graduation, I was honored with the 2021 Timothy Simon Slattery Award presented to the student-athletes who exemplify the virtues of sportsmanship and fair play.
As a freshman at Morristown Beard School, I earned a spot on Varsity soccer and Varsity Basketball. I work hard everyday on and off the field so I can continue to improve as a competitor and always help my team succeed.
