I began lacrosse at age 8, mostly playing attack and worked my way up playing on a few different teams in the Kansas City Area. I began to switch to midfielder once I began to play on travel teams in 8th grade because there were too many attack players. I played JV and Varsity as a freshman for my high school team, Varsity only beginning sophomore year as a midfielder when we qualified for the Final 4 in KC. I led the team in ground balls and assists, and work hard to be in the right place in a scrum. I'm very versatile and also play a little attack and LSM if needed. I'm excited about the way my defense has improved in the last year and this has also helped me earn the nickname "Swiss Army Knife". I play for Team KC, Midwest Topgun, and have attended a few tournaments with Team Venom in the last year. I am comfortable dodging and see the field better than most to find the open player/score, etc. I also feel like I can play against the best players because I don't give up and even if I am not as good as some east coast players in NY last year, I found success clearing for our team, so always look for a way to be a team player. I love helping the younger players on the team with their game, and my favorite part of playing is being a "team" and a leader as I get older. I played HS football beginning freshman year, played Varsity as a sophomore, sat out for my junior year to concentrate on lacrosse, and was planning to play my senior year until covid-19 began, and then decided not to (my dad has cancer and didn't want to risk anything). I play basketball on a competitive league in the winter, and also love golf, but don't play because it is a spring sport in high school. I am involved in the "Connections" group at school with the special ed students on a daily basis. I am also involved in student government, and active in the spirit groups. I am a creative person, interested in business, and hope to major in marketing or finance in college. I am the youngest of 4 kids, and both of my brothers played lacrosse.
